More knotty stuff on my blog: stormdrane.blogspot.com I followed Fred Creative'Knots photo tutorial to tie this knot and the video is meant to help those that had trouble following the path of the cord shown in Fred's photos pas-a-pas-de-creativknots.over-blog.com I used a 3 foot length of 2.4mm cord for this project, with a Jumbo Perma-Lok lacing needle, hemostats, scissors, and a Zippo lighter with Z-plus butane torch insert. If using paracord, a 3 foot length is long enough for a short fob/lanyard, but you can used more than that if you want a longer length lanyard, wrist loop, etc. I like to use a scaffold knot/multiple overhand sliding knot for attachment with the single strand end: www.youtube.com I've read that this knot is also shown in Stuart E. Grainger's book, 'Turkshead Alternatives', which is out of print. Another star knot photo tutorial can be found here: www.nico-matelotage.com
