Gerber Bear Grylls Folding Sheath Knife Review

Gerber Bear Grylls Folding Sheath Knife Review Video Clips. Duration : 8.47 Mins.

amzn.to If you are looking for a good survival knife and you are interested in the Bear Grylls Survivor Series, this knife is one of the best choices. Let me personally say that this is a great blade. While weighing in a bit heavy at 4.3oz, it makes up for it in resiliency and usage. Gerber has gotten this right in design and strength. This particular knife has gone through extensive testing in Everyday Outdoors and we have found it to still be in ALMOST perfect condition. While it has some up and down play on the lock, this is due to a huge amount of cutting and it is very minimal. The lockback type lock fared well when we put it to the test using spine whacks and overstrikes. What may be good improvements are jimping on the blade and, as with the Compact Scout, the serrations are not the best in our personal opinion. However, the serrations do fit on this blade much better than on the Compact Scout as this is a much larger blade, coming in at a very impressive 3.6 inches. The dual thumbstuds are large and make for easy deployment. The hole in the handle is a perfect size to fit a lanyard made of, say, 550 paracord. The knife design looks very nice and the grip on the handle is great. The blade itself is made of high carbon stainless steel and it shows. It takes and holds an edge very nicely and is overall a great knife that can be classified as both EDC and survival. It may not be farfetched to call this a tactical knife as well. We are now honing our video review ...
